JeanClaude Dorsainvil

XYZ Venture Capital / Blck VC
A few things that drive me are community building, economic empowerment, and access to new opportunities. If gatekeepers work to keep people out, you can think of me as a Trojan horse.

JeanClaude is a VC and community builder based in the San Francisco, Bay Area. He is currently on the investment team at XYZ Venture Capital, an early-stage, FinTech and Enterprise focused fund. He previously spent a year and a half as a partner with First Round Capital’s Dorm Room Fund, investing in pre-seed companies throughout the US University ecosystem. Prior to DRF, JeanClaude spent time in traditional financial services. First working with BBVA Compass Bank, followed by a 6-month leave from school to work with Citigroup's LatAm Corporate and Investment Banking team in Miami, Florida, and lastly with the Investment Banking team at J.P. Morgan in NYC. He also co-leads communications and spearheads the Breaking into Venture initiative at Blck VC.
